All incoming transfers require a copy of the transferring dealer’s FFL or a clear copy of the seller’s driver’s license. If this information is not provided-the shipment will be returned at the shipper’s expense. Any transfer without buyer information will incur storage fees immediately.
Firearm Transfer and Shipping Policy
Phoenix Arms provides incoming and outgoing firearm transfer services, whether from a private sale, online gun auction, or another dealer located within the United States. Phoenix Arms is not a licensed importer of firearms and cannot assist customers with importing firearms. However, once the firearm has been properly imported into the United States, through a licensed importer, Phoenix Arms can assist in the transfer of the firearm.
Failing a Background Check; Return of the Firearm
If you fail a background check, you are still responsible for the transfer fee. It is your responsibility to promptly arrange the return of the firearm to the seller or make other arrangements to dispose of the firearm. All costs to return the firearm or otherwise dispose of the firearm are your responsibility.
Storage of Firearms
If a firearm remains with Phoenix Arms (a) for more than 10 days after you have been notified of an incoming transfer, or (b) for more than 10 days past the date you deliver the firearm to Phoenix Arms for an outgoing transfer, a storage fee of $5 per day will accrue retroactively to the date on which the customer was notified or dropped off the firearm. All transfer fees, shipping, and storage fees must be paid before Phoenix Arms will ship or transfer the firearm to another location.
Phoenix Arms will only store a firearm for up to 60 days. After 60 days, Phoenix Arms will, at our discretion, dispose of the firearm for whatever price we feel is reasonable and apply the proceeds from the disposal, if any, to the storage fees that are due.
